Who We Are:
A new cycling team made up of 50 plus Pacific Northwest racers. It is our goal to leave a positive mark on our community by:
- Fostering a team that is known equally for its accomplishments and its team members' shared strength of character.
- Bringing visibility to our sponsors in every race.
- Taking an active part in support of charitable organizations.
Many companies sponsor teams to get exposure for their brand. Two Seattle companies have purchased primary and secondary titles in order to bring exposure to two charities. Our title charity is the International Justice Mission, a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. Our secondary title holder is FareStart, which helps to train the homeless and disadvantaged to work in the food service industry. Both of these charities will be prominently displayed on team clothing and are being funded by our team members or their companies.
Thumbprint Racing is comprised of experienced men and women cyclists who compete in all categories and disciplines of bicycle racing, including but not limited to road, track, cyclocross, and mountain biking. Our founding team members are comprised of category 3-4 Women, category 2-4 Men, a WA State BARR Champion, a Washington Cup Champion, a Masters National Champion, a Pan-American Masters Champion and a multiple Elite National Champion who are all well known in the racing community and are regulars at the front of any bike race.
We Offer Our Sponsors:
- Affiliation of your business with the NW cycling community: one of the most prevalent cycling communities in the country.
- Association with a team of energetic racers that are actively supporting the work of charities by increasing visibility through the team's efforts in local, national and international events; namely two charities with a locall and global presence. (We would also provide the opportunity to promote a charity of your choice, if you decided to pass your advertising on to your charity.)
- Prominent placement of your graphic on team kits, our web site, tents, team car(s), water bottles, etc. This includes exposure at NW Bicycling events, exposure on vehicles and trailers as they travel to and from events including trips up and down I-5, I-90, SR 520 on a daily basis.
- The opportunity to advertise at races or events that we will be hosting, promoting or participating in. Ex. Advertise on fliers, tents, giveaways (water bottles), etc.
- The opportunity to be a presenting sponsor at our featured, annual event and be featured on flyers, advertisements and posts to mailing lists to the entire NW racing community.
We Offer Our Teammates:
- A dedicated team that is focused on both racing success, helping individuals achieve their personal goals, and fun.
- A dedicated group of riders with whom to train and race. People who enjoy each other on and off the bike.
- There will be no "star" racer who riders have to support or even a list of required races. We will encourage members to race as a team and provide opportunities for each member to try different team roles that are consistent with their personal goals.
- A host of developmental clinics including cycling-specific skills required for safe and effective racing as well as opportunities for fitness testing.
- Training Plan workshops including weights, stretching, core focus, cross training and plyometrics.
- Pre-season training camp (January/February) in Arizona (or similar climate) to further team development.
- Mentorship at the category and masters level including category specific weekly training rides.
